My name is Allison Kloxin. I come from a very diverse background but am happy to call myself a cowgirl. I work with my husband horseback at a feedyard. When I'm not on a horse at work or in the arena, I am playing in my garden or with my chickens.
How you would you describe your personality? I am a very forward, down to earth individual, that given the right circumstances can be very outgoing. I have a background that has taught me to talk to people from a wide range of backgrounds. Honestly, I am known as the girl in the cowboy hat to most people and I really like that about myself.
What are three words someone else would use to describe you?
Intelligent, resourceful, hard-working
Are you a member of any clubs, groups, or associations?
Nebraska and National Cowboy Mounted Shooting Nebraska Team Roping Classic and World Series of Team Roping I regularly attend multiple barrel racing series around Nebraska as well
What sports or activities you participate in? At what level?
Rodeo- Barrels racing (ranging from small local jackpots to the larger super shows, dabbling in amateur rodeos) Mounted Shooting (NE and IA clubs with plans to attend Nationals and possibly the world show) Team Roping (local jackpot series, occasionally traveling for larger shows) Breakaway (some amateur rodeos, local jackpots, Bonus Race Finals) Ranch Rodeo
What are your favorite activities to do outside of the arena or work?
I enjoy gardening and canning, raising my chickens, stitching/embroidery/braiding projects, and working with young horses
What is something you are proud of yourself for?
I'm proud of a couple of the horses I have made (Zac being the first I've done everything with from day 1) and everything I've learned along the way becoming a cowgirl.
What are three things you cannot live without? Why?
Horses - they've got the biggest hearts and are the closest I'll ever get to flying
